The average asking price for a gasoline station in the U.S. is now $825,000, up by 15% from just three years ago. This study explores what factors have been driving this increase and what trends may be shaping future station asking prices. Couche-Tard's pending purchase of CST, announced last year at a rich 11.5 multiple, was more evidence of the up-trend in value of the nation's retail fueling infrastructure.
